These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and the Shopify apps Tax Inside and +Tax (the "Apps") provided by Simple Genius, a trading name of Tenfold Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 05231604 ("we", "us"). By installing or using an App, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Apps
Each App is designed to perform a single, specific function within your Shopify store:
- Tax Inside presents VAT collected, VAT refunded and the net VAT position per Shopify payout, plus monthly summaries, using tax data already recorded in Shopify.
- +Tax displays a custom tax label beside taxable product prices on your storefront, based on Shopify's product taxability status.
2. Not tax, accounting, financial or legal advice
The Apps organise, display or clarify data within your Shopify store environment. They are informational tools only. They do not file tax returns, submit information to tax authorities, change your Shopify tax settings, alter prices or checkout, and they do not constitute financial, accounting, legal or tax advice. You remain responsible for verifying tax, accounting and compliance matters with your accountant or professional adviser.
3. Your responsibilities
- Ensure your use of the Apps complies with applicable laws and Shopify's terms.
- Maintain the accuracy of the data in your Shopify store, which the Apps rely upon.
- Keep your account credentials secure and authorise only appropriate access.
4. Licence and acceptable use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Apps for your store while these Terms are in effect. You agree not to misuse the Apps, including by attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to them or related systems.
5. Availability
We aim to keep the Apps available and performant but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Apps depend on Shopify's platform and APIs, which are outside our control.
6. Support
We provide UK-based support for merchants using the Apps and aim to respond to support and technical enquiries within 24 business hours.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Apps are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of any figures displayed. Figures shown are for review and convenience and should be checked against your own records.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Apps. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
9. Termination
You may stop using and uninstall an App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached or where necessary to protect the Apps or other users. On termination, the licence in section 4 ends.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Effective date" above when we do, and continued use of the Apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
