Tax Inside Payouts & VAT
Shopify shows what reached your bank. Tax Inside shows the tax inside it.
Shopify makes payout totals visible, but the tax position inside each payout is not always easy to understand. A single payout can include orders, refunds, fees, different tax rates and adjustments, making the VAT figure difficult to review from the payout amount alone.
Tax Inside brings that information together in a clearer format.
The app uses the tax data already recorded in Shopify and presents a simple view of VAT collected, VAT refunded and the net VAT position for each payout. It also provides monthly summaries that can be reviewed by you, your bookkeeper or your accountant.

What it doesn't do: Tax Inside is not accounting software. It does not file returns, submit data to HMRC or change any Shopify tax settings. It simply helps you see the tax already sitting inside your Shopify payouts.

+Tax Storefront labels
Shopify handles the tax. +Tax shows the label.
Shopify does not provide a simple native way to show a controlled "+ VAT", "+ tax", "+ GST" or similar label beside taxable product prices on the storefront.
That matters for merchants who sell a mix of taxable and non-taxable products. Without a visible label, customers may only realise tax applies when they reach checkout.

The app displays a short custom tax label beside prices for taxable products, without manual theme-code edits. Shopify remains the source of truth for whether a product is taxable.
